Christmas at the Farm…

Looking for that unique gift for that special someone on your list? Northwind Perennial Farm is well known for their breathtaking beauty from Spring to Fall, but how many of you have taken some time to walk through “The Christmas Shop” during the Holiday season?

They are open from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. every Friday – Monday until December 16th. Shop for special Christmas ornaments and holiday decorations, along with garland, branches, greens, wreaths, and berries. They offer a beautiful selection of artwork and unique one-of-a-kind gift items from some of our local artists. Please note that the Christmas Shop is located in the barn, so dress for the weather.

Northwind Perennial Farm is located at 7047 Hospital Road. Just east of the intersection of Hwy 120 and Hospital Road.

Breakfast and Brunch with Santa Opportunities…

If you are looking to take the kids to dine with Santa this Holiday Season, the Lake Geneva area has several options for your dining pleasure…

Lakeland School in Elkhorn will be hosting breakfast with Santa this Saturday, December 8th from 7:15 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Enjoy a Belgian waffle and sausage breakfast, visit with Santa and listen to the Lakeland School Choir perform at 9:15 a.m. and again at 10:00 a.m. Tickets are $7.00 and children under 4 are free. Lakeland School is located at W3905 County Rd. NN in Elkhorn.

Enjoy breakfast with Santa every Saturday and Sunday until December 23rd from 8:00 a.m. to Noon at the Grand Geneva. Tickets are $35 for adults, $20 for children ages 6 to 12 and $12 for children ages 2 to 5. Reservations are recommended and can be made by calling (262) 249-4788. Dress up for the event, or show up in your pajamas, it’s up to you.

Lake Lawn Resort in Delavan will be hosting breakfast with Santa on Saturday, December 22nd. The kids will be able to choose their own breakfast items from a children’s height buffet full of all their favorites. Enjoy juices, fruit, mini pancakes, French toast, donut holes, eggs, bacon, sausage and more. The kids will have the opportunity to participate in holiday themed crafts, sit on Santa’s lap and have their picture taken at the life-size gingerbread house in the courtyard. Tickets are $17.95 for adults and $9.95 for children ages 4-12. Children 3 and under are free. There are several seatings that morning and reservations are required.

Lunch with Santa…

The Williams Bay Fire Department is hosting Lunch with Santa this Saturday, December 8th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Enjoy a visit and photo op with Santa, plus a free hot dog lunch that includes hot dogs, chips, cookies and hot chocolate.

Santa arrives by firetruck around 11:30 a.m., so gather the kids, grandkids, nieces and nephews along with their wish lists and head to Williams Bay on Saturday for a fun filled, family friendly event courtesy of the Williams Bay Fire Department.

The Williams Bay Fire Department is located at 5 E. Geneva Street in Williams Bay.

The Christmas Barn…

With just over 20 days left until Christmas, the Christmas Barn in Elkhorn is a great place to shop, shop, shop for everything “holidays”. This festively decorated location is the perfect place to put you in the right frame of mind to start thinking about the holidays.

Enjoy browsing for crafts, jewelry, pottery, artwork, candles, greeting cards, chocolates and more. The barn features the works of a large variety of artisans, each offering something a little different and many offering items exclusively made for The Christmas Barn.

The Christmas Barn is open weekends through December 23rd. Hours are Friday and Saturdays 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sundays 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Parking is plentiful and free and the facility is wheel chair accessible.

The Santa Cruise…

Here is your chance to see some of the most beautiful lighting displays in the area from a particularly unique point of view, when you board the Santa Cruise for a ride on Geneva Lake to view lakefront estates all decked out for the holidays.

Join Gage Marine this holiday season for a Santa Cruise Boat Tour on Geneva Lake. Cruises depart the Gage Marine dock in Williams Bay hourly beginning at 4:30 p.m. everyday through the end of the year with a few exceptions. They also offer an Adult Only Cruise on Fridays and Saturdays at 8:30 p.m., some with live music.

Before you board your boat, you will have the opportunity to walk through the Charities of Christmas Tree Festival. As you travel around the lake, the lights on each estate are said to tell a magical story of a journey to Santa’s North Pole Hideaway. The cruise provides activities for the kids, along with a snack bar and beverages for kids as well as adults. So, start a new tradition this year and make a reservation to take a December Cruise on Geneva Lake. Plan to arrive early or stay late and enjoy a holiday cocktail and/or meal at Pier 290.

Gage Marine Corporation supports the Santa Cause and the Twelve Charities of Christmas and will be donating at least $50,000 this year. Please note that cruises only run if weather permits, so please check with the Gage Marine office or their website for tour schedule updates.

Festival of Trees…

365 Things To Do in Lake Geneva, WI encourages you to get out and enjoy all the wonderful holiday events in Lake Geneva this coming weekend. They promise to be fun, family friendly and affordable. Could anything be more welcome this time of year?

Head to Flat Iron Park (across from The Cove) tonight, November 30th for the annual tree lighting ceremony with Santa at 5:00 p.m.. There will be complimentary hot chocolate and cookies for everyone.

Santa will be in his workshop at 875 W. Main Street (the old Nine West location) on Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. beginning tomorrow December 1st, so make sure you have your camera.

Just a reminder, the 43rd Annual Electric Children’s Christmas Parade is tomorrow night at 5:00 p.m.

The streets have been decorated and the downtown area is looking very festive, so we encourage you take some time over the coming weekend to stroll the streets and check it out.

43rd Annual Electric Children’s Christmas Parade…

One of Lake Geneva’s most cherished community events starts at 5:00 p.m. this Saturday, December 1st when local schools, businesses and organizations light up the streets of downtown Lake Geneva for the 43rd Annual “Electric Children’s Christmas Parade”.

This year’s theme is “A Whoville Christmas – Growing the Heart of our Communities” which encourages everyone to look inside their hearts for the positive things in life and show love and compassion to others.

The parade route starts at Williams and Marshall Streets and runs south on Broad Street to Main Street and west on Main to Cook Street. You’ll find that there are lights on all the floats, many of the band instruments, and that even the local fire trucks are illuminated for the event.

The Electric Children’s Christmas Parade is a treasured holiday tradition for not only the residents that live in and around the Lake Geneva area, but also for the thousands who visit the area during the year. After the parade, we suggest you stop in at one of the many places downtown for a cup of hot chocolate or a bite to eat, then head back out to check out some of the retailers in town. It’s the perfect night to do a little Holiday shopping or just enjoy everything that the beautiful downtown area offers.

Walworth County Fair Annual Pork Chop Cookout …

If you are looking for an excuse to eat out this week, we suggest you pick tomorrow, June 20th and head to the Walworth County Fairgrounds for the 50th Annual Pork Chop Cookout in the Fairgrounds Activity Center.

Dinner is being served from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and each ticket purchased provides you with 2 grilled boneless pork chops, a baked potato, coleslaw, apple sauce, rye bread, a beverage and ice cream.

Advance tickets are $11.00 and you can call the fairgrounds at (262) 723-3228 for a list of locations that are currently selling tickets. Tickets will be available at the door for $12.00. Carry-outs will also be available at a convenient drive-thru.

Proceeds from this event will benefit the improvements being made to buildings located in the park on the fairgrounds.

Make sure you leave some room for dessert because the Fairest of the Fair Dessert Sale featuring delicious homemade goodies will be going on during dinner. Proceeds from this sale benefit the Fairest of the Fair Scholarship Fund.

Strawberry Pickin…

365 Things To Do in Lake Geneva, WI searches to provide you with affordable, family friendly events and this one comes with a great big bonus to all you strawberry lovers out there. The Apple Barn Orchard and Winery in Elkhorn has announced that their strawberry patch is now open for the season.

Depending on picking conditions, the Strawberry Patch is open daily from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. with two options for obtaining berries. You can head out to the patch to pick your own berries or call ahead and reserve pre-picked berries. Strawberry season runs for about 3 weeks from mid-June to early-July so don’t delay, or you may find yourself out of luck, because when they’re gone, they’re gone.

The Apple Barn Orchard and Winery recommends that you always call ahead to check on picking conditions before making the trip out. Be sure to take some time to check out their store while you are there. It is literally filled with goodies galore including Wisconsin cheese, honey, salsa, jellies and jams.

Plan to spend as much or as little time as you like. This is just a great and affordable way to spend a nice day with friends and family.

48th Annual Elkhorn Fireman’s Dance

The Elkhorn Firehouse will be a busy place this Saturday, June 16th as they host the 48th Annual Elkhorn Fireman’s Dance. Food service begins at 5:00 p.m. with barbecue ribs, burgers, hot dogs and shredded chicken and pork sandwiches.

Tickets are $5 per person or 3 for $10. Live music begins at 5:00 p.m. with Novy Spinners, a two- piece band from the Milwaukee area. Wisconsin’s popular Cherry Pie takes the stage at 8:00 p.m. bringing lots of energy and great dance music.

Supporting our local first responders is a great way to let them know that you appreciate their service to our communities.
