Located on Hwy 120 just a few miles north of downtown Lake Geneva is the Pedal & Cup. This building constructed in 1910 was originally the site of the Springfield Train Depot and is now home to a quaint business offering bike rentals, lunch specials, smoothies and gourmet coffees and teas.
The location is also a great place to do a little shopping if you are looking for a unique gift for that special someone in your life. They carry a wonderful selection of gifts items including rugs, scarves, jewelry, soaps and salts, notecards and more, all made by local artists. Forgot your sunscreen and bug repellant? No problem, the store stocks a variety of those as well.
The historic building sits directly on the Wisconsin White River State Trail which runs from Burlington to Elkhorn and is a popular fairly level grade 11.5 mile path, making it perfect for cyclists, walkers and joggers. As a State Trail, anyone over the age of 16 is required to have a pass, which can be purchased before you get ready to ride. Bicycle rentals are available for all ages and include a bike helmet.
They are open from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (weekends only) through September 3rd. Plan to stop in and check them out. If you have a bike, bring it. If not, rent one, grab a snack and go for a ride.
